November 26, 2024

Fredericton, NB – November 26th marks a special milestone at the Union of Municipalities of New Brunswick (UMNB) as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our founding meeting. For the past three decades, UMNB has worked in partnership with New Brunswick municipalities, championing local needs and fostering community growth. Our journey has been filled with resilience, collaboration, and shared achievements.

Reflecting on this journey, UMNB’s history has been defined by progress, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to building a strong province through empowering communities. While we honour our past, we are equally excited to embrace the future of local governments across New Brunswick. To mark this occasion, we are unveiling a refreshed look that represents our evolving mission and ongoing commitment to New Brunswick’s communities.

“This milestone is a true reflection of the strength and collaboration of New Brunswick’s municipalities,” said Dan Murphy, Executive Director of UMNB. “For 30 years, we’ve worked together to overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and drive meaningful change for communities in New Brunswick. Our new look honours our history while embracing a vision for an even brighter future. Together, we’re ready to tackle the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.”

We invite you to celebrate this milestone with us by watching our 30th Anniversary video, where you can see the unveiling of our new logo.
